On a computer, yes. If you close the tab the timer is in, the alarm goes with it.

When a 3 minute timer is useful
Three minutes is the usual time for a cup of instant noodles, and enough to steep a bag of black tea. It is also a common limit for a short pitch or a self-introduction.
How to use
Press start to count down 3 minutes. When it ends, the alarm sounds for 30 seconds. For a different time, change the numbers in the boxes or set any time on the online timer.

What happens if I turn off my phone screen?
While the timer is running, the page asks the browser to keep the screen on. If you turn the screen off yourself or switch to another app, the phone pauses the browser and the alarm may not sound. On a phone, keep the screen on.
I can't hear the alarm.
Check your device volume and silent mode first. Browsers only allow sound after you press a button, so the alarm is scheduled when you press Start yourself.
Does pausing and resuming throw the time off?
No. When you resume, the end time is recalculated from the time that was left.
