AlphaPick

Number picker

Fifty numbered marbles roll down the course. Pick first, last, the Nth finisher or the first N. Delete or add numbers to change the range.

How to use

  1. Enter names on separate lines or with commas. Write 'name*3' to give that name three marbles.
  2. Choose a map and how the winner is decided (1st, last, Nth, or the first N), then press Start.
  3. Places are set in the order marbles cross the finish line, and the winner is announced on screen. Use the share link to send the same list and settings.

Frequently asked questions

Is it the same as a marble race?

Yes. Each name gets a marble, and the finishing order decides the draw, like a marble race. AlphaKit Pinball Picker is a separate free tool with its own maps and physics.

Can the result be rigged?

No. Marbles start in a random order and then follow the physics. Nobody can decide the result in advance.

How many names can I enter?

Up to 500 marbles, so raffles and stream giveaways with 100+ entries work in one draw. You can speed it up 2× or 4×.

How is it different from a wheel spinner or drawing lots?

A wheel or lots show the result at once, while marbles race down the course so nobody knows the winner until the end. That makes it fun for forfeits, turn order and live draws.

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

No. It runs in your browser and the names you enter are never sent to a server.

Can it split people into teams?

Yes. Choose 'Split into teams' as the draw type and set the number of teams. When every marble has finished, names are dealt into Team 1, Team 2, Team 3… in finishing order. Handy for class groups, sports days and game nights.

What makes this pinball picker different?

AlphaKit Pinball Picker adds shortcut and send-back portals, a pulsing magnet, boost and headwind strips, item boxes that give a boost, ghost, turtle or bomb, and random events such as earthquakes, gusts and gravity flips, so comebacks happen until the end. Live captions and sound effects follow the lead, and you can record the race as a video or save a result card with the full finishing order as proof.
